Great news for the BC Smoking Cessation Program! After 1 year, 150,000 smokers are using the BC Government Program to kick the habit. The QuitNow.ca program, which offers additional support for smokers, has contact with over 20,000 individuals interested in quitting and over 11,000 registered for web, text and telephone support.

This year we celebrate the 40th anniversary of Earth Day. Today more than 190 countries representing more than 1 billion people participate in festivities and events that promote a healthy, sustainable environment. Earth Day got its start coincidentally around the same time as the development of the internet.
