Smallbox Software has announced that as of today, the company will no longer provide default support for Microsoft's Internet Explorer (IE) 6.x browser for content managed websites built on the Smallbox CMS platform.
Internet Explorer Support
Originally released in 2001, IE6 initially achieved a high market penetration rate, but as alternatives came along including Firefox, Safari, IE 7 and Chrome, support and use of the browser has steadily declined. Current usage stats indicate that less than 20% of site visitors use IE6 as their web browser of choice. However, optimizing a site's CSS code to work for IE6 adds about 20% more time to our production timeline due to its lack of support for browser standards.
The web development community has endured the challenges of IE6 for some time and moving away from this browser will better utilize our company's resources to develop new and progressive web products. Smallbox is confident this is the best move for our customers and look to major websites such as Facebook that no longer supports IE6.
Smallbox CMS customers will have the option of making their site IE6 compliant for an additional fee. A non-optimized site will auto-detect and display a notification that the site they are viewing is not optimized for their browser and may not appear as originally designed.

I prefer to use IE6 as I don't like the interface of IE7 or IE8. I therefore won't bother using your website.
