Smallbox is very pleased to announce the appointment of two new staff members to the Smallbox family, Shawn Bouchard and Torben Wilson.

Shawn joins Smallbox in the newly established position of Director, Sales and Marketing. He will be responsible for developing and executing a national sales and marketing strategy to capitalize on expanding opportunities in the content management market.

Shawn was previously with Ion Branding + Design, where he oversaw new business development and account management for this leading Vancouver creative firm. Prior to that he worked in the non-profit sector as Marketing Manager for Arts Umbrella, and Marketing Manager at The Vancouver Playhouse Theatre Company, where he was responsible for the theatre company’s annual subscription and single ticket marketing campaigns.
 
Torben brings more than 15 years of programming experience to the Smallbox development team as Senior PHP Programmer. Prior to joining Smallbox, Torben was Lead Programmer with Powerweb Technologies where he oversaw the development and maintenance of a distributed web-based power monitoring and control system. Torben is also the co-author of PHP Functions Essential Reference and is a major contributing author of the Official PHP Manual online reference guide for PHP programming.
 
When not coding, Torben can be found keeping time behind a drum kit. He is a founding member of The Buttless Chaps. Check out his appearance on CBC Radio 3!
