Did you know that our development team has incorporated a host of updates to Smallbox CMS? Many of the improvements are back-end server tweaks that increase your websites overall performance, but one update in particular will warm the cockles of all the search optimization savvy users out there. | |||
For all Smallbox CMS Version 5.1+ sites you can use Smallbox Config (see picture above) to set a 301 redirect for any page on your site without having to rewrite the htaccess file on the server. You can hug us now! This enables site administrators to have more control over how search engines reference content on their site. It makes it easier to tell a search engine where an older version of a page has moved to, and will help you to keep that hard fought search ranking when you start moving pages around on your site.
