Graphic Designers of Canada


The Society of Graphic Designers of Canada (GDC) is a member-based organization of graphic and communication design professionals, educators, administrators, students and associates. Since 1956, the GDC has been an advocate, voice and resource for Canada's graphic and communication design profession. It was granted a Federal Charter in 1976. The GDC is a national certified body promoting high standards of design and business practice with more than 1,200 members in nine chapters across Canada. The GDC is a member of the International Council of Graphic Design Associations (Icograda), is allied with the Société des designers graphiques du Québec (representing graphic designers in the province of Quebec) and the University and College Designers Association (UCDA).
